Year 7

Students are introduced to Music at the Malling School. They develop skills in the key areas of Composing, Performing and Appraising through different topics. Pupils have access to a wide range of musical instruments and other sound sources and begin the year developing a good grounding in keyboard skills.

Year 8

Students develop their skills further in Year 8, with a stronger focus on composition and performance. Students develop their knowledge and appreciation of a variety of different genres of music and compose music in a range of different styles and for different purposes.
