Volunteering Opportunities

During lockdown, volunteering is difficult, but why not try one of these?

  • Mentoring a younger sibling, helping with their homework each week in a subject you really enjoy.

  • Coaching a sibling or other family member to learn an instrument or develop another skill

  • Organising arts and crafts sessions or sport sessions in your garden, for someone you live with to participate in.

  • Show your support to key workers through the crisis projects (letter writing) https://www.thecrisisproject.com/

  • Help humanitarian agencies have accurate maps through tracing satellite images onto street maps https://www.missingmaps.org/

  • Participate in scientific research, like searching for stars, identifying species or mapping earthquakes https://www.zooniverse.org/

  • Volunteer for NASA, become a citizen scientist: search for undiscovered worlds, train computers to think or track comets  https://science.nasa.gov/citizenscience

Physical Opportunities

When we are back at school, we hope to have the following sports clubs back running during the winter:

Rugby, Football, Netball, Handball, Fitness, Basketball, Dance

We hope the following clubs will be running during the summer:

Rounders, Cricket, Athletics

If you’re interested in joining a school sports team, speak to Miss Barnes

If you’re still stuck, why not take some inspiration from what members of staff have been up to?
