Course Description:
BTEC Health and Social Care has been designed to provide students the opportunity to gain a broad
understanding and knowledge of the health and social care sector. The course gives students the opportunity
to understand the human life stages as well as an understanding on how the social care sector works.
 
How will students learn?
The lesson structure will vary throughout the course. There will be formal lessons which will be teacher
directed, where as other lessons will involve students taking responsibility for their learning. This could involve
working with others, contributing to discussions or independent learning.
 
How will the course be assessed?

Health and Social Care Services and Values Internal Assessment
Health and Wellbeing External Assessment
