Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Awards

Dof E photos 009On Wednesday 3 December 2014, students were invited to Invicta Grammar School to receive their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. The presentation of the awards was made at the Tonbridge and Malling presentation evening, in front of an audience of over seven hundred people, which included a very proud Mr Whalen and Mr Roberts. The lucky recipients were presented with their awards by Maidstone United’s star midfielder, Alex Fisher.

To earn their bronze award the students had to complete 3 sections of their award: volunteering, physical and skills over 3-6 months. The students then had to complete a practice and a qualifying expedition, walking for 12km carrying all their own equipment, camping and then walking another 12 km the next day.

Students who attended were:

Liam Davis Louise Jury Bailey Denton
Jason Baker Luke Martin Ellie Middleton
Ryan Adams Sarah Edwards Harrison Garrod
Simon Oakley Jade Howlett Seamus Callaghan-kells
Bradley Pearson James Pavitt

 Congratulations to you all!
