Lake Watch - Wildlife Art Competition

Poster ImageHave you noticed the changes to Clare Lake?

Medway Valley Countryside Partnership have been busy working with The Malling School to restore the lake for you and your local community. Help your school by designing the art work to be displayed on a wildlife information board at Clare Lake.

We are looking for wildlife art work and photography to display as a permanent fixture at Clare Lake. Your art work must include the types of wildlife you can find at Clare Lake and may feature some of the following: insects, birds, plants, water creatures, the lake landscape or perhaps (with permission) people using the lake itself. There is no limit on how many photos, drawings or paintings you enter. We will be selecting a range of pieces to go on the information board.

SPECIAL PRIZE - for the first person to photograph our resident kingfisher!
Other species to look out for: swans, brown trout, water vole and the great spotted woodpecker.

Please submit your art work and photographs to Mrs Barker by Friday 3rd July 2015 or email your photograph entries to: rebecca.barker@themallingschool.kent.sch.uk

If you would like to take part in the competition and would like to borrow art equipment or cameras please see Mrs Barker in B14 at lunch time on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Mrs Barker also runs an after school club on a Wednesday and will be happy to accompany you to the lake to take photos over the coming weeks. Please speak to her in advance to confirm that after school sessions are running.
