World Challenge

World_Chalenge_04Preparing young people for life! We believe that life skills, such as resilience, empathy and leadership, are developed through real life experience and we enable young people to develop these key skills through powerful student-led expeditions to the developing world.

Today we Launched our 2017 World Challenge Expedition plans to pupils at The Malling School.

This is a school trip for teams who want a real adventure and a chance to experience Morocco at its best!

On arrival in Morocco, student will head to Marrakech, Morocco’s third largest city and home to the traditional Berber market. Here they will get to participate in a local community project allowing them plenty of opportunity to get involved in the community. Past projects have included renovating schools, building furniture for classrooms, painting educational murals, planting gardens and digging irrigation channels.

This fantastic once in a life time opportunity will provide pupils the opportunity to go trekking in the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, experience a great diversity of environments, including snow-capped mountains, green pastures, breathtaking gorges and friendly Berber villages en route and enjoy some traditional hospitality as they watch the sun set over the desert. Students will also have time to relax at the beach and explore the coastal town of Essaouira with its fortified walls, fishing harbour, and narrow alleyways and colourful souks.
