Term 4 Reward Trip – Rare Breed Centre

TMS_Rare_Breeds_03On Thursday 14 April, 25 students visited the Rare Breed Centre near Ashford for the Term 4 Reward Trip.  It was a beautiful sunny day and a great day was had by all.

Firstly the students were given the opportunity to handle lots of different animals ranging from baby chicks, cockerels and 2½ week old lambs.  Others that were brave enough ventured into creepy crawly world and observed snakes, tarantulas and lizards to name a few.

Next the Big Red Trailer Ride enabled the group to explore other areas of The Rare Breed Centre which is set within 100 acres of beautiful unspoilt Kent countryside.

The students were given some free time to enjoy some of the other attractions at the Centre, some chose to return to the animals or visit the Aviary, while other visited the hill fort, tube maze and zip wire!

Finally, what had to be the highlight of the day was the Pig Racing.  George Bennett and Morgan Hill representing the Blue Team did a great job and gained a respectable 2nd place.  Well done boys!
