Parenting in the Digital Age

We are very pleased to be working with Parent Zone, experts in online safety and digital parenting to deliver a free course this term in November/December at The Malling School.

Mr Miller, Deputy Headteacher responsible for Safeguarding and E-Safety, has been trained by Parent Zone to deliver the Parenting in the Digital Age course.  The course includes three short sessions created to help you to keep your children safe online.

Who should attend?

The course is open to all parents and other adults, caring for children (including grandparents). It is suitable for families with children of all ages, from early years right through to teens.

How does it work?

The course runs over three sessions but don’t worry if you can’t make it to all three as they’re designed to work on their own too.

Session 1 is all about online risk and what makes some places online more risky than others.

Session 2 looks all the different types of parental controls and settings and helps you decide which ones – if any – you want to use.

Session 3 gives you information and advice on becoming a more confident digital parent.

When and where will it be running?

Wednesday 23rd November 6pm-7pm

Wednesday 30th November 6pm-7pm

Wednesday 7th December 6pm-7pm
