Red Nose Day 2017

Red Nose Day 2017 went with a splash at The Malling School, with staff and pupils enjoying a variety of fundraising events during break and lunchtime. Pupils paid to attend in non-school uniform and bought official Red Noses to wear during the day. A series of competitions at break time raised additional money through “Guess the number of sweets in a jar”, “Guess the teacher from their baby photo” and two cake sales.

At lunchtime, pupils were able to soak their favourite teachers with sponges and buckets of water, culminating in a “golden 10 minutes” from Deputy Head teachers, Mr Williams and Mr Miller, which proved popular from the bucket throwing pupils. The photos show Year 9 pupils, Sophie Sheffield and Grace Howard, soaking their Deputy Head teachers at lunchtime. The day’s events raised the sum of £1011.31 for Red Nose Day 2017.
