World Mental Health Day

As we mark World Mental Health Day in assemblies this week, we note the World Health organisation is warning that by 2030, depression will be the leading cause of the global disease burden. We are encouraging our pupils to accept that their mental health is an important as their physical health and to have the confidence to speak to an adult they trust at school, if they feel worried about their mental health. The Malling School is already committed to a 3 year plan to improve, and champion, the mental health of its staff and pupils.

Let’s make sure our school community is “thriving” not just “surviving”!
