Dress Code

Sixth Form students have their own dress code, which should be smart, clean and within the ethos of the School.

Students should ensure that their overall appearance is appropriate to that of a working environment. Students are reminded that they are in a School and will therefore come in to contact with much younger students throughout the day. Therefore, clothing that is deemed inappropriate will be challenged.

Most students meet our expectations on a daily basis, however, those that do not, will be sent home to remedy the problem. If this is not possible, they will be taken out of circulation for the day, including at break and lunch.

STUDENT CLOTHING
Trousers, chinos (not faded, frayed or ripped). Thin leggings are not permitted unless worn beneath a dress or skirt. Skirts/dresses (an appropriate length) Smart shirts, smart jumpers over shirts (No hoodies or large slogans/logos) Blouse, shirt or smart top, jumpers, cardigans. Ties Clean shoes or boots (No trainers, sandals, canvas shoes or flip flops)

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS

Skimpy shorts or hotpants, sheer, low-cut tops or spaghetti straps, hats of any kind (in lessons), sunglasses (in lessons), over-sized brand names, slogans or logos, hoodies, tracksuits, blue denim, trainers/canvas shoes including Converse or skater shoes, sandals, Ugg boots, flip-flops or casual sandals such as Birkenstock, soiled, frayed, ripped or faded clothing.

Subject specific clothes such as those for Art, Performing Arts or Sports, should not be worn in public areas of the school and students should change before leaving the department.
