Our Lake Project
The fund-raising campaign for our lake project was successfully achieved!
The fund-raising campaign for our lake project was successfully achieved and we are now in the purchasing stage of our development of the lake. Bat and Owl Boxes have been sourced and will go up shortly and we are currently planning and writing the wildlife and local history signage for the lake trail.
Our green approach to lake management is to be the installation of a solar powered sonic device to help tackle the algae in the lake and life saving equipment is also being installed.
Our plan is to have the lake ready as soon as possible and we are looking forward to sharing this with our local community.
HELP NEEDED!
We are looking for some support to site the signage around the lake and are looking for recommendations of companies that would be able to help with this. Please click here to e-mail if you are able to or know of someone who can help with this.
Update on Lake Project - June 2023
Our lake project is progressing albeit not quite as fast as we originally anticipated. This is largely due to supplier delays and difficulty getting materials.
The owl and bat boxes are in situ, thank you to Mr Birch and Mr Birchall and we have ordered the signage, algae control equipment and benches.
When these are received and ready to be installed (hopefully before the end of July) our project will be complete and ready for all local residents to enjoy.
We will be looking for volunteers to help us with the install of the benches and signage, thank you to the Skylax Explorers, a local group for their offer of help.
If you would like to volunteer please contact Allison Pickering on 01732 840995 ext 212.
