Sixth Form
At The Malling School Sixth Form, we pride ourselves on our holistic approach, developing the whole student, from their academic lessons, the International Baccalaureate core, and a rich extra-curricular offer.
Sixth Form courses are much harder than GCSEs and so our students are required to work outside of the classroom. Sixth Form students are given greater responsibility for their own learning and will have study periods on their timetable, our Sixth Form Hub has a friendly and professional environment, where students are expected to be self-motivated, organised, and self-disciplined, this allows students to meet their full potential.
Throughout your time with us, you will be supported by your Form Tutor and the Sixth Form Team, we will guide you through your transition from year 11 to Sixth Form and again when it is time to move on to university or the world of work.
In Sixth Form, we have a laptop scheme, all Sixth Form students have the same laptop in a year group, this is paid for by you in instalments and is yours to keep at the end of the two years.
At our Sixth Form we have 3 pathways for students to choose from:
- The International Baccalaureate Careers Programme (IB CP)
- International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP)
- Our bespoke Level 2 vocational programme
Click here for more information on our pathways to visit our KS5 curriculum pages
All 3 pathways have the requirements to prepare our students for their futures and our students secure their first-choice universities, apprenticeships, and jobs of choice in the world of work.
